Victory in Europe

From as early as January 1943, when Hitler¿s 6th Army was destroyed by the Red Army at Stalingrad, it was evident that the war in Europe could only end in one way ¿with the defeat of the Third Reich. This eagerly awaited special publication will look at a series of crushing defeats for the Germans which ultimately lead to Hitler¿s suicide and the surrender of the Germans.
What drove the German people to fight to the bitter end, knowing that utter ruin and devastation was the inevitable consequence of continuing to resist? Why did the generals continue to follow Hitler¿s orders when his decisions repeatedly led to avoidable and crushing defeats? Was it the Allies who won the war in Europe, or was it Hitler who lost it?
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day there will be a public holiday on Friday 8th May and so there will be a significant amount of PR around the subject.
